I’m an extremely practical person and I find it intensely satisfying to solve my clients’ problems.
For Veronica, solving her clients’ problems is the best part of being a litigator.
Veronica has experience on both in private practice and in-house, having worked first as a claims specialist and then as a trial attorney for Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company. This experience, and other experience gained prior to joining MWH, gives Veronica a first-hand understanding of what it means to clients when their problems are resolved.
Clients rely on Veronica to know their best options for resolution, be it arbitration, mediation or heading into the courtroom. While she enjoys promoting quick resolutions, Veronica knows when litigation is the best approach. She has significant experience litigating cases from referral to resolution, including drafting pleadings and discovery, as well as dispositive motions. She has significant experience with taking lay and expert depositions, identifying and working with experts, managing mediations, and handling negotiations. Veronica also can draw on her prior experience as a claims specialist, where she managed property damage and bodily injury claims from unrepresented matters through fully litigated cases.
Veronica says, “I enjoy when I can tell my client that a case is finished and they no longer need to worry about it. For corporate clients, that can mean simply checking another item off the ‘to-do’ list, but for individuals, it can offer real relief.”
