The thing I enjoy most about litigation is finding the best solution for the client to solve their legal issues as efficiently and effectively as I can.

When asked, Anne describes herself as practical, resourceful, and efficient, qualities you would expect from a lifelong Iowan and litigator.

With nearly 25 years of litigation Anne comes to MWH as a seasoned trial attorney from her previous role as an Iowa Assistant Attorney General with the state’s Special Litigation Division, where she represented the State of Iowa in federal and state courts and before administrative agencies. In that role, Anne handled complex tort claims and lawsuits brought against elected state officials, state agencies, and their employees involving a myriad of issues, from injuries on state properties to allegations of false arrest and unreasonable force. Additionally, she represented the State Appeal Board regarding local budget appeals.

Prior to working for the state, Anne worked as a litigation associate with firms in Des Moines and Cedar Rapids, where she gained considerable experience with personal injury, product liability, worker’s compensation, and professional negligence litigation cases, as well as criminal and family matters.
