I joined MWH Law Group in April 2022 as an Associate providing support to the Employment, Litigation and Technology & Privacy practice groups. As a former public defender, I have extensive experience reviewing assorted records and reports including, but not limited to, accidents, medical records, body camera (police), text messages, personal videos, and police reports. I am proficient at researching pleadings, opinions, memoranda and relevant state laws as well as negotiating on behalf of my clients. In addition to winning two jury trials, I provided defense in connection with involuntary mental health commitments and guardianships.
Having developed a passion for data security and privacy law while in law school, I obtained my CIPP/E in October, 2021 and plan to secure my IAPP CIPP/US certification within the next year. It is my intention to work with my clients as they endeavor to protect their assets, employees, and companies against malicious attacks.
In March of 2022, I was appointed to the Marquette University Law School Diversity Recruitment Committee while simultaneously accepting an appointment to serve on the Law School’s Alumni Board.
While obtaining my B.A. at Notre Dame, I was a summer intern to Senator Michael Bennet, D-Colorado. As the immigration intern, I performed legislative research, responded to constituent inquiries, and attended Congressional Briefings. Additionally, I was honored to work with a team as Press Intern.
In law school, I was a leader of the Dispute Resolution Society, President of the Hispanic and Latino Law Students Association and Co-Vice President of the Cryptocurrency and Blockchain Society.
