MWH Successfully Defends Large Retail Client in 5 Day Jury Trial

MWH Law Group congratulates Carlos Pastrana, Lynette Fons and their team on obtaining a defense verdict in favor of a large retail client after a 5-day jury trial.

The plaintiff had alleged that, as a result of the retailer’s supposed negligence and violation of Wisconsin’s Safe Place statute, she had sustained $5M in damages.

In rendering its verdict in favor of MWH’s client, the jury determined that the retailer was not negligent and did not violate the Safe Place statute in relation to the efforts it took to manage water inside its store during a rainy day.
