After delaying the opening of the 2019 EEO-1 Component 1 data collection because of the COVID-19 public health emergency, the EEOC has announced that the 2019 and 2020 EEO-1 Component 1 data collection is open as of Monday, April 26, 2021.

Employers with 100 or more employees have until Monday, July 19, 2021 to submit two years of data.  Government contractors with 50 or more employees and at least $50,000 in federal contracts must also complete an EEO-1 report.

Filers should visit the newly launched EEO-1 Component 1 website at https://EEOCdata.org/eeo1 for the latest filing updates and additional information.

The report tracks race and gender information of employees. This demographic information should be collected post-hire and must be voluntary for the employee.
