BIOGRAPHY

In nearly 20 years of expertise in privacy and information governance, I have demonstrated a proven ability to lead development, implementation, and ongoing management of enterprise-wide privacy and information protection programs to protect company information. I have a strong record of supporting business strategies, protecting customer trust and corporate brands, and preventing breaches, litigation, and financial exposure.

I have created and supported privacy, information protection, and information governance programs for small, medium, and large businesses, both nonprofit and for-profit, as well as legal counsel for operations for all my clients. I have significant regulatory practice experience, including federal and state rulemaking and legislative activity, as well as reversal of regulatory audit findings and the resulting proposed liability. I have led organizations through incident response and data breach beginning at the earliest stages, including investigation, public notification, regulator notification, and litigation.

I regularly provide CLE on privacy, information protection, and information governance, including on the planning committee for the annual Minnesota CLE Midwest Legal Conference on Privacy and Data Security.
