I specialize in providing transactional negotiations related to technology, outsourcing, international, intellectual property, and competition law. I have practiced in the complex contracting and technology fields for over 35 years. My vast experience encompasses a wide array of expertise, from preparing and negotiating technology, outsourcing, joint venture, and intellectual property contracts to completing complex, multijurisdictional licensing agreements to structuring tax-favorable agreements on behalf of my clients.
Early in my career, I worked for IBM in marketing, manufacturing, and research & development locations, including three years overseas at its Europe, Middle East, and Africa headquarters. While at IBM as part of ISO 9000 registration, I championed an increased emphasis on client service as part of the quality improvement effort, resulting in a customer satisfaction index rise from 60% to 94%. Thereafter, I went on to hone my skills at Fiserv, becoming Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel. In addition to leading the company’s commercial contracting efforts and broad responsibilities as in-house counsel, I also developed a matrix management system for functional expertise and staff development. Outside of my position with Fiserv, I have represented companies from a wide variety of industries including financial services, technology, and telecommunication.
I received a B.A. From Yale University in International Relations, with Honors, in 1982 and a J.D. from the Columbia University School of Law in 1985, where I was named Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. Located in Milwaukee, I recently joined MWH Law Group LLP as Special Counsel and practice in the technology, contract support, intellectual property and corporate & transactional groups. I am a member of the Wisconsin State Bar, where I served as Chair of the International Practice Section Board, in addition to being a Member of the Section Leaders’ Council and Professionalism Committee. I am also licensed in New York and North Carolina.
