Payton Clerc

Payton Clerc is a proactive attorney whose legal career began at a small general practice law office on the east side of Des Moines. While clerking there, Payton assisted a diverse range of clients with matters spanning personal injury cases to family law disputes.

After earning her degree from Drake Law School, Payton joined Iowa State University’s General Counsel Office. (Go Cyclones!) During her time as an in-house attorney, she developed foundational expertise in employment, contract, and trademark law.

Payton leverages her in-house experience to deliver clear, practical legal advice tailored to her clients’ needs. She recognizes the importance of patience and dedication when addressing complex legal issues and approaches problem-solving with a focus on providing functional, stakeholder-conscious solutions.

Outside of work, Payton enjoys spending time with her corgi, participating in pickleball and golf leagues, cheering on the Green Bay Packers, and spending time with her family.
