I believe success comes from diligence, strategy, and the discipline to see every matter through to resolution”

Ayanna Ellzey is an Associate in MWH Law Group’s Milwaukee office, where she practices in the Employment and Litigation group. She first joined the firm as a summer law clerk, where she supported litigation teams on matters involving Title VII, the ADA, the FMLA, and related state statutes. Through that experience, she gained practical skills drafting pleadings, position statements, motions, and discovery responses in multi-jurisdictional cases. Her legal career has only blossomed since that time and will continue to do so as she grows within the firm.

Ayanna earned her J.D. from Howard University School of Law, where she concentrated on employment discrimination law, remedies, and advanced torts. She was awarded a merit scholarship her first year and graduated in 2025. Before law school, she attended Xavier University of Louisiana, where she earned a B.A. in History with double minors in Theology and Philosophy, graduating with honors in all three disciplines.

After spending years in New Orleans and Washington, D.C., Ayanna chose to return to her hometown of Milwaukee to begin her legal career. She is committed to contributing her skills to the city that shaped her, while bringing a broader perspective gained from her time living and studying in other regions.

Outside of work, Ayanna enjoys golf — a sport she played competitively for over ten years — and now plays for fun. She is also a devoted film enthusiast, with a particular passion for murder mysteries and whodunits.
