Prior to pursuing my law degree at the University of Wisconsin Law School, I obtained a bachelor’s degree in Finance at Minnesota State University, Mankato. I started my legal career in Minnesota as a legal assistant for a small, family-owned law firm. At that time, I worked primarily on matters of Social Security Disability, but I also worked closely with an attorney recognized in the area of worker’s compensation.
In law school I pursued opportunities that explored social justice issues. I have worked with the Wisconsin Innocence Project conducting research, writing, and performing investigatory work. I was a research assistant researching and writing on police use of force. In my final year of law school, I served as the Treasurer for Advocates for Immigrants’ Rights, a student organization at UW-Madison. I was a member of the Wisconsin Journal of Law, Gender & Society, one of the earliest legal journals in the country dedicated to furthering the study of women and the law.
As an Associate with MWH, I support attorneys practicing in various practice groups, including Corporate & Transactional, Real Estate, Commercial Contracts, Public Finance, and Technology. Prior to becoming an Associate, I served as a Law Clerk at MWH for almost two years.
