Jennifer B. Chavez-Rivera

Jennifer is a business and real estate attorney based in Des Moines, Iowa. Before joining MWH, Jennifer gained experience by managing both corporate and real estate transactions, including the sale and acquisition of businesses and real estate properties from start to finish, advising clients with respect to federal procurement contracts, handling business entity formation and restructuring, and crafting a variety of business agreements.

In her day-to-day activity in the office, Jennifer focuses on contract drafting and negotiations with respect to residential and commercial leases (including office, retail, and warehouse space), lease terminations, extensions, buy-outs, and general contractor and subcontractor agreements, primarily in the construction industry. She also represents property owners in residential real estate transactions and supports clients through the garnishment and debt collection process.

Outside of the office, Jennifer enjoys being active in her community, spending time outdoors with her two huskies, and traveling.
