Phillips Promoted to Partner, Borders Joins as Senior Counsel at MWH Law Group LLP

Milwaukee, Wisconsin – Oct. 27, 2016 – The Milwaukee office of MWH Law Group LLP announced the promotion of Nelson W. Phillips III to partner, effective August 30, 2016, and the addition of Patrice B. Borders as Senior Counsel, effective September 16, 2016.

Phillips brings over 17 years of litigation experience to MWH Law Group in both private practice and as a former federal and state prosecutor in the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Wisconsin and the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office. He also served as a Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge. Phillips is experienced in representing clients in a variety of matters, including contract disputes, white collar investigations, general negligence claims, premises liability claims, product liability claims and intellectual property claims.

Phillips is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School and the University of Michigan. He serves as Board Member of the Landmark Credit Union Board of Directors, Board Member of the Wheaton Franciscan-Elmbrook Memorial Foundation Board, and Board Member for the Eastern District of Wisconsin Bar Association.

Borders specializes in labor and employment law and government relations, bringing more than 20 years of experience in developing innovative human resources strategies to MWH Law Group. Borders counsels individuals and organizations in the development of high performers, collaborative teams, and inclusive workplace cultures. She has worked with public, private, and non-profit entities ranging from school districts and hospitals to companies listed in The Fortune 100.

Borders is a graduate of The Ohio State University, Moritz College of Law; The Ohio State University, School of Journalism; and Talladega College. She serves as chair of the Ohio Chapter of The Society of Emotional Intelligence and serves on the board of The Girl Scouts of Western Ohio.
